Soapbox Connect is a woman owned and operated website design and marketing firm based in Pinellas County, Florida.

The owner and soapbox builder, LeeAnna, was born & raised in the Tampa Bay area with an entrepreneurial spirit passed down from her small business owning parents and grandparents. In 1994, as a high school student, she took a part time job in a flower shop. Four years later, her mother bought the shop and 20 year old LeeAnna was tasked as lead designer and operations manager of the family business.

For the next 20 years, she raised a family, worked in the floristry industry, dabbled in real estate, and was an event organizer for a large non-profit organization. ​In 2014, she and her partner, Tim, put down roots in Clearwater, FL when they purchased a mom and pop flower shop. It was then that she recognized first hand the need for an affordable option to host and build websites for her small business.

​

After deadened Google searches for a local company and failed attempts asking for recommendations on social media, she took on the daunting task of building her own.  Over the last decade, LeeAnna has not only transformed the little corner shop into a high end florist and wedding planning business, she also added website designer to her resume!

Out of necessity, she delved into the world of web to learn SEOs, algorithms, and how social media and search engines can work with or against your website traffic and sales. 

​​

She is self described as “half creative brain and half analytical brain”. The training she received for web admin and marketing as an event organizer coupled with her eye for creative design and attention to detail to create beautiful things as a wedding florist and planner has enabled her to create a strategic plan for an effective online presence for small businesses.

Operating two companies keeps her busy but she isn’t all business; she loves morning lounging & sipping coffee, happy hour with with girlfriends, piddling in the kitchen with new recipes, traveling in their camper, reading, boating to Anclote Island, Gator and KC football, and she aspires to become your favorite author someday.

She and Tim married in 2015 and between them have five sons, four daughters in law, five adored grandsons and one princess granddaughter. They share one fur baby, a Boston Terrier, Fern Madigan.
